![]() ![]() The trails app hasn't been updated for more than a year and now crashes after a few hours of logging. ![]() Sadly, though, both products now appear to be discontinued. I used to use an app called trails (from trails.io) for step 1 and a program called GeoSetter (from ) for step 2 and 3. Use geotagging software on my PC to assign location info like country, region, city and location to photos based on the GPS coordinates (reverse geoencoding) ![]() Use geotagging software on my PC to assign GPS coordinates to my photos by synchronizing with the GPX file - this of course relies on time stamp for photos being accurate Use an app on my iPhone to create a GPS log that I then export as a GPX file to my PC I also like to geotag photos taken with my DSLR. So let me chip in with some comments and hopefully also get some advice. It seems that the question here was actually answered 7 months ago, but sadly the comment was deleted. Although you can drag a group across the map to resite them, I don't think you can drag them to a different zoom level.I stumbled on this post when I was looking for similar advice. Then if you drag the set off the map you can use the search to find them again. You can use that to tag each photo in turn. If you click the number that represents your set of 20 you should get a popup with an edit button in the corner. I have a few hundred photos that are not geotaggable so that isn't a viable option. The closest I can get is to look at all the non-geotagged items. If I have 20 photos geotagged to one spot and I drag them off, then I have to go find those 20 photos again to do something with them. The problem is that I want to alter a group of items on the map as one. I always add place name tags to my items as I upload. To batch edit any group of items in the Organizr use a tag. Drag that number to the photobar at the bottom and confirm. They should be under a blue circle with the number of items in it at the location. If you want to remove a batch of items from your map, go into Organizr, click on the map tab and find the group of items. Why can't I manipulate all photos tagged to the same point as a set? If I have a bunch of photos geo tagged to my house, I may want to add a tag to all of them "house", or something such as that.Īnother neat trick would be to set all your geotags to be public by default, but then select all the photos geotagged at your house and make their geotags private. Which brings me to another question/idea. There is no way to select a group of photos that are geotagged to the same spot and work with them as a set, correct? I have learned my lesson and now always geotag at the maximum zoom level, but how do I fix the old amateur mistakes? The result is that if I am only partially zoomed in only 20 photos are visible, and if you then zoom all the way in the same spot lists hundreds. I seem to have put a number of photos at the same map location, but when I placed some of them I must have been at a different zoom level than the others.
